Leaving CERN & Departure Formalities

If you are leaving CERN, you will receive various information regarding what you need to do before departing such as:

• Completing the Termination Sheet
• Returning any items such as mobile, laptop, cards, keys, dosimeter, electronic equipment, books, personal protective equipment (PPE), etc.
• Cleaning and emptying your office space.

🖥️ Your CERN computing account remains valid for up to 2 months after the last day of work.

On your last day

• Visit the ALICE secretariat so that we can sign your departure form and say goodbye!
• Bring your Termination Sheet to the Users Office, along with your Swiss and French cards (if applicable). Unless you have applied for a courtesy period (cf. section 11.) you will no longer be allowed to use your Host State documents or car registered with green plates. You may also send them by post or ask a colleague to return them on your behalf.
